Plant your rhizome in a sunny spot after the last frost (usually from April). Ideally, you should prepare the ground using some compost and a little potting soil. The ground needs to have good drainage.
Plant the rhizome horizontally in a shallow trench around 10 cm deep. If planting several rhizomes, keep them a good metre apart. Water everything and keep it damp. Hops love humidity but do not like getting wet. After around a week, if the ground is warm enough and they have been kept damp, they will begin to grow.
